My Summer Journey (MSJ) is a summer program for teens with autism, ages 13-19. Our fun-filled days help keep the teens in a routine that can make the transition back to school much easier. The focus of the program is to make new friends along with working on life and social skills.

Thank you to all the MSJ participants, community outing locations, guest speakers, and MSJ Staff for making My Summer Journey a huge success! Everyone had a blast! A special “thank you” to Access Johnson County for transporting our MSJ participants and staff to their community outings during the weeks. Another special “thank you” to Franklin Community High School for the use of their facility during the program.
We can’t wait for My Summer Journey 2026. The registration will open end of January 2026.

Individuals who will benefit from My Summer Journey:
- Enjoy and are successful in small group settings. The participant to counselor ratio is 4:1.
- Can participate in group activities for 10-15 minutes.
- Possess communication skills to express wants and needs.
- Are independent with personal hygiene.
- Do not require 1:1 behavioral support.
- Are not a flight risk.

Becoming a Program Sponsor allows your business or organization to directly support our Young Adult Connection, My Summer Journey and Teen Connection programs. Your sponsorship will go towards the programs budgets to enable us to provide programming, supplies and staff for teens and young adults with autism. Monthly recurring payments option available.
